Hei Pao, a skillful martial artist, is Chin Erh Yeh’s bodyguard. Tien Pa Yeh and Chin Erh Yeh instruct Hei Po to wreck a gambling den run by Chang San Yeh in the French Concession at Shanghai, because they are rivals. In the ensuing clashes, Chang’s gambling den is destroyed and he is killed. Kao Teng (Ling Yun), the sharp-shooting bodyguard of Chang, spares Hei Pao’s life, because he wants him to help raise money for the relief of Lo Lieh, who is the former’s friend; at that time Lo Lieh is in fact in a German jail, awaiting conviction for manslaughter.
