Emperor Chien Lung 1976

Sometimes the Perspective of the Movie shows an Inclination towards the right Side, this is not due to a messed up Conversion into Xvid but to some Error in the DVD Vob-Files or maybe even the original Movie.

Ching Emperor, Chien Lung (Liu Yung), decides to tour South China disguised as a merchant called Kao Tien-szu. One day he meets a fortune-teller who predicts that he will be sent to jail shortly. However, the emperor does not believe him. Upon his arrival in a city, he sees a court inspector eating and not paying for the food at a cooked food stall owned by Chen Szu. The emperor also tries to eat there without paying, but the angry Chen Szu stops him rudely, demanding payment. The emperor then writes an I.O.U. and tells Chen Szu to go to the court to have it honoured. The court inspector is em-barrassed to see Chen Szu in the court premises, thinking that he has come to complain about him to the magistrate. The court inspector therefore works it so that Chen Szu is punished by receiving 30 strokes of the cane. The emperor tries to help Chen Szu, but both are seized and imprisoned. The emperor begins to realise that the words of the fortune-teller were correct. Finally he informs the district governor, who accordingly intervenes and orders their release; Chen Szu also causes the district magistrate and the court inspector to be given corporal punishment, in retribution. Next the emperor rescues a youngster, Ohou Jih-ching (Wang Yu) from the clutches of some gamblers, but the naughty youngster repays his kindness by playing pranks on him. The emperor impresses Chou Jih-ching with his kung fu skill, and the boy becomes his foster son, as a token of respect for the royal martial artist. Later, the tricky Chou Jih-ching fools the gamblers and a greedy pawnshop owner, causing them to unwittingly lose money to him. Again, Emperor Chien Lung and Chou Jih-ching expose and punish a corrupt county official and some bogus black magicians, who have preyed on the poor. Finally the resourceful and clever emperor, together with the quick-witted Chou Jih-ching, teach a proud and over-bearing local VIP a lesson which he would never forget. In the beginning they are disgusted with his show of pomp and power in a brothel as well as on the street. The emperor devises a plan to insult the VIP in front of the prostitutes, and the desperate VIP completes his own defeat by giving his pretty wife to Chien Lung.
