Mortally wounded by outlaw John Tan Hsiao, Liu Pang orders his student Lu Han to find the Dragon Sword and avenge him.While on his way to the capital, Lu saves the Kang sisters Yu Hsiao and Yu Shen and Magistrate Peng from bandits. In the capital, Lu crosses swords with troublemaker Fei Pin, a guard belonging to Chei Ying Security Service. Han Wu Sao is wounded in the clash; Lu treats her and gets to meet her pretty daughter Mu Tan. The beaten Fei challenges Lu to a fight on behalf on his chief Pao I Loong at the security service headquarters. Lu shows up but fails to find the Dragon Sword there.Escaping from the security service men, Lu meets the Kang sisters again. They invite him home and through their brother’s influence, Lu obtains the post of Imperial guard.One night while on his way to visit Mu Tan, Lu is confronted by the notorious bandit Drunken Lion. The ensuing fight is mild and resolves nothing, with both parties going their separate ways. Lu then decides to follow Drunken Lion to Chei Ying Security Service where he learns that Drunken Lion is assigned the task of obtaining the Dragon Sword, now in the possession of former Imperial guard Wang Chi.Meanwhile, to escape from Drunken Lion, Mu Tan seeks refuse with Magistrate Peng. Hsiao now arrives in the capital; Lu had met him earlier when saving Sheng from rape. Lu’s sweetheart Mu Tan is later caught by Drunken Lion. Lu meets Wang Chi who hands him the Dragon Sword and takes him to her. Drunken Lion, Fei and the rest are killed in a fierce fight. Moments later, Tien Tsun appears on the scene, kills Wang Chi and is in turn slain by Lu.
